Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Imagine how much money our politicians are making off the corona virus, it's their waterloo. Every PM has one, and they call it their waterloo. It may be a war, it may be selling off the gold reserves, or maybe it's a virus, that one time big win. They know when it's going to happen, and they pile their money into the stock market. Some use offshore account, some use their friends and family, but their waterloo makes them millions.
We have some big problems on this earth, Aids,The Flu,HungerCancers,Slavery,Dictatorships, Genocide. The corona virus is not even in the top 10. It will make some already wealthy people even richer. Once they have more wealth, they have more control. Master and servants, and we keep putting up with it. This extra wealth helps them fund walls to keep the minions away, we are the minions.
When are we going to wake up, when will we realise no one owns the oil, it's ours. Land is for everyone, not the rich.One day they will tax the air we breath, and you will pay it. For centuries it's all been about control, when will we wake up?
