The build up to xmas

I remember, once we got to Halloween, we were nearly there, and then the build up began. We weren't rich, but had some great christmases. It was just everyone being nice to each other, getting drunk, eating dinner, falling asleep, having the greatest day of the year.

The xmas adverts have been on for two weeks already, and we are being told what will make them happy? What will make your children happy? The latest Iphone,laptop,ipad,xbox,wi, OR a map of the world, a classic book, a piggy bank, or something really weird? As adults we all know it's fake, but feeding the kids what we are forced to feed them is just wrong.
