Campanologists

1930s Germany saw many changes. The new government had told the public, certain people in our society are good for our country, and others are not.He was talking about the jews, and other none Arian types. He created a divide, and the jews were not sure what they had done. Hitler had plans for some of his indigenous people too, it was all part of the plan.
He labeled them traitors, he said they were different, they hoarded their wealth, and were crashing the economy. He made it mandatory for jews to wear a star over their heart, not law, but mandatory.
Police and gov officials were overwhelmed with the amount of phone calls made to them by good citizens, explaining where they could find their former jew friends.Former jews friends who were not wearing the star, because maybe they had forgot, or the post was late, or for what ever reason?
The German public got so angry, they decided to take the law into their own hands, and it even had a name, KRYSTALNACT! They attacked Synagogs, and any jew building, and the police turned a blind eye.Afterall, these jews deserved all they got, Right?
There was no internet back then, but neighborhood watch schemes were popular, and the weekly meetings focused on which people should be made to wear the star, and who did or did not attend the army parade. It was a show of loyalty to the Furor, and those who were too busy to clap, or had better things to do were frowned upon. The head of the scheme sent letters, and made the Government aware of potential trouble makers.

To all you camanologists out there, does this ring any bells?
